The Reverend Dr. Janet L. Denson

"I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me."

Dr. Janet L. Denson is the daughter of Jacob Denson and the late Betty J. Denson. A native of Parkesburg, PA, she presently resides in Phoenix, Arizona. She has a 26 year old son Jason La Mar who is the joy of her life. Dr. Denson (Janet) has four brothers (Judson from Tennessee, William from California, Barry from Maryland and Darryl from Pennsylvania.)

Janet presently attends New House Church of the Living God in Phoenix, Arizona under the pastoral leadership of the Reverend James L. Harris, Sr. Senior Pastor.

Janet accepted Christ as a junior high school student and served faithfully at her home church, Bethany AME Church in Parkesburg, PA. At age 17, she attended Parsons College in Fairfield, Iowa and received her Bachelors of Science degree. She received her Masters degree from Arizona State University in Tempe, Arizona in 1978, and her Ph.D. from Capella University in Minneapolis, Minnesota on January 11, 2010.

After graduating from Parson College in Iowa, she moved to Kansas City, Kansas in 1973 where she joined and was baptized at Salem Baptist Church under the pastoral leadership of the late Pastor Charles B. Bailey in 1975. She relocated to Arizona in 1980 and joined First Institutional Baptist Church in 1981, under the tollage of the Reverend Dr. Warren H. Stewart, Sr., Senior Pastor. As a member of FIBC, Janet served in many ministries:

• Music Ministry: FIBC Choir President for 3 years, Children's Choir
• Director, Praise and Worship Director for 10 years
• Co-chair and teacher of the Sister's Ministry,
• Elections Ministry,
• Hope Center Steering Committee program and furnishing committee
• VISION 2000 Steering Committee,
• Prayer Ministry,
• Children and Youth Ministry Council Praise
• Interim Director of the Young Adult Ministry
• Clergy Caucus

Janet accepted her call into the ministry on December 6, 1999, and studied under Dr. Warren H. Stewart, Sr., Senior Pastor of First Institutional Baptist Church. On December 1, 2000, she was licensed by Dr. Stewart to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ!

Janet has dedicated much of her time to the ministry that God birthed in her life 15 years ago. She is the Founder and CEO of Love Images Ministries, Incorporated, an Evangelistic Outreach Ministry. Since completing her PhD in December 2009, she plans to write four books and one journal. One very important goal she has set is to start a mentoring program "Push the Rock Mentoring Program" The program will be based on her favorite scripture Philippians 4:13 "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me". Thanks to her brother Mr. William Denson, the CEO of A Father Forever, who encouraged her on a daily basis to "Keep pushin' the Rock".

Janet enjoys spending time with her son, family and friends, who she loves very much. Her hobbies include traveling, sports and music. Janet loves to sing and is presently taking voice lessons from international Mezzo-Soprano Isola Jones as she prepares for her future CD titled “Back in the Day".

Janet contributes her spiritual growth to her dear friend and sister in Christ, the Reverend Alana Ragland. "Alana has taught me just to be 'myself' and to be 'real' in my walk with Christ."
